MasterCard was keen to bring to life how it adds value to customers, partners, merchants and consumers ‘beyond the payment’. The opportunity was to build global innovation labs, centers of discovery and excitement that showcase products and their impact. But we had a larger chance to bring to life the evolution of the brand as a leader in innovation.
We set out to do more than demonstrate product innovations, but also the grand scale of their human and business benefit. For issuers, for merchants, for governments and for people the world over.
MasterCard had an opportunity to differentiate itself by laying claim to its vision of the future. A drive towards priceless experiences, cashless societies, frictionless economies and riskless solutions.
To do all that ‘less’ MasterCard Innovation Labs needed to live less is more. So we built intensely versatile experiences that could be personalized for multiple audiences without cluttering variations or content. The outcome was a customizable experiential program that felt tailored and ‘for me’, wherever you are and whether you’re a government official, a tech partner or a card issuer.
