Leadership Approach + Experience

StartUp Attitude @ Publicis

In a sole strategy role on the agency management team the goal was to partner with talented creatives and build a brand that specialized in, well, specialist audiences.

I helped define a culture of going big to chase and win challenger brands. The result was a big hitting, fast growing agency that created fully integrated campaigns.

Unifying Teams @ PWW

As part of the leadership team in a global private holding company this challenge was at it’s heart about unifying teams.

I built a culture of connected reinvention to increase the value of services across the business and build impact greater than the sum of it’s individuals.

Building a Function @ IPG

In a role focused on building a strategy and analytics function the goal was to win huge new work, deepen client connections and increase margins.

I defined the function’s practice and expertise. In the process I built a talent machine and enhanced core capabilities to increase value to brands (and the agency).

Change Mgnt @ Unilever

As part of the global communications group I helped transition teams through global change as the organization rationalized brands and launched a central brand identity.

Key focus areas were change management and performance.

Realizing Potential @ IPG

This role works within the executive leadership team to make strategy a driver of growth and a key pillar of agency fame. Partnerships and leadership are the foci.

The goal is to foster a culture of aspirational agitation and collective ambition to realize the potential of a unique agency and contribute to inter-agency growth.

A National Title @ NYC

I helped found and grow the New York Touch Rugby Club building a culture of aspiration, inclusion and growth.

I captained the O35s team that won the club’s first US national title by going big, going together, and mixing some sneaky guile with on-field strategy.

My theory is that leadership needs work, continuous development and education. The best leaders are adaptable, empathetic, relentlessly positive and have patience. And it doesn’t hurt if you’re on a great team.
